The GEICO Hue design system established foundational standards for typography, color, and spacing, along with a library of components available to designers and developers. Our goal was to increase awareness and adoption of Hue while providing better support across all platforms. This involved collaborating closely with UX and product designers, across various GEICO teams, to provide guidance and best practices. I was also responsible for the design of new elements, components, and experiences within the the system.

I designed and developed the token library which served as the centralized repository for all design properties. The token library garunteed sustainability within they system and improved processes for providing systemwide updates to designers and developers.
A naming and organization strategy, that would be intuitive and easy for designers and developers to adopt.
A consolidated color palette for light and dark mode, with improvements tocolor contrast and accessibility.
Sizing and padding tokens were declared to manage the spacing across components and screen sizes.
Experience specific themes, allow Hue components to transition seamlessly between experiences focused of customers or insurance agents.
